Honoring veterans

What we do.

We are active supporting DAR schools, cleaning up the environment, providing care goods for veterans, celebrating historic events, restoring patriot grave markings, researching and honoring our patriotic ancestors, awarding high school essay scholarships and more.

Awarding Covenant school bus drivers

What about the name?

The chapter is named for the fort that was established by James Robertson and John Donelson on the banks of the Cumberland River. The fort was named Fort Nashborough in honor of General Francis Nash who fought with Robertson in the Battle of Alamance.

Valuing key military contributors

What DAR means to me.

“It means joining a community of women who respect and honor their American Revolutionary War Patriot ancestors for being united and firmly committed, even with their lives, to good, higher-than-themselves, principles that benefit humankind, raised the bar and advanced civilization beyond expectations” – Chapter member

The objectives of the Fort Nashborough Chapter, NSDAR, are to promote historic preservation along with encouraging participation in educational and patriotic endeavors.  We invite you to browse the website for information regarding our chapter and our activities.
